Operational context
The project environment
The engagement covered a rented logistics base with covered and open storage and office space, plus cargo handling, manpower and lifting equipment deployed inside the base, supporting Saipem while its rig drilled for Burullus Gas Company on the West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) project. The base had to operate as project infrastructure, not only as storage.
Client requirement
The operational challenge
The client needed warehouse and open storage, lifting activity, equipment maintenance support, office space and controlled personnel access sustained for the life of the engagement.
Execution structure
How the scope was coordinated
Daily base control linked handling areas, equipment, offices, access, maintenance and supervision. This gave the project one managed facility rather than a collection of separate suppliers.
Max Marine ran the site end to end: indoor and outdoor handling areas, forklifts, cranes, trucks and trailers, warehouse and office infrastructure, access control, daily supervision and equipment maintenance support aligned to the project's certification requirements.
